Working from home, or telecommuting, has been gaining popularity among non-industrial workers for several decades. However, the recent pandemic of the coronavirus has supercharged that trend, especially in technology centers such as Austin. For the second consecutive year, Austin topped the list as the hottest U.S. job market in 2019, according to a Wall Street Journal. Nashville jumped to the number two spot from seventh.
